Before we get started.

What should I do if I find mold?

Avoid disturbing the area. Note the location, take photos from a safe position, and record any leak history. If an active source can be stopped safely, do so. An inspection can help establish the scope.

Is the inspection free?

Rapid Mold Remediation offers an initial free inspection to discuss concerns and next steps. Confirm access and scope when scheduling. Sampling, laboratory analysis, and destructive investigation are separate considerations.

Do I need mold testing?

Not in every case. Visible growth often does not require sampling before cleanup. Testing should answer a specific question and its cost and limitations should be explained.

How long does remediation take?

Area, materials, access, containment, drying, and any independent verification affect the schedule. A useful estimate comes after the conditions and scope are understood.

What does remediation cost?

There is no reliable single price for every property. Ask for a written scope that explains affected materials, work-area controls, removal, cleaning, disposal, and any separate repair or testing costs.

Will the mold come back?

No contractor can control every future moisture event. Resolving leaks and damp conditions is part of reducing recurrence. Ask what underlying repairs remain after cleanup.

Is black mold more dangerous than other mold?

Color alone does not establish a species or personal health risk. Address visible growth and moisture, and speak with a healthcare professional about individual health concerns.

Should I use bleach?

The right cleanup method depends on the material and the damage. Bleach does not repair moisture problems or make damaged porous material sound. Never mix cleaning chemicals; follow product instructions.

Can I stay in the home during work?

Occupancy depends on the work zone, access, project scope, and personal circumstances. Discuss restrictions before work begins and obtain medical advice for individual health concerns.

Does insurance cover mold?

Coverage varies by policy, cause, exclusions, and limits. Your insurer decides coverage. Keep photographs, dates, scopes, invoices, and relevant repair records.

Do you serve my town?

We serve Chicago and surrounding suburbs from Itasca. Use the service-area directory and call with your address to confirm scheduling and availability.

How do I request urgent help?

Call (630) 487-0215. Online email preparation is intended for non-urgent questions and does not schedule an appointment or dispatch a crew.
