Mold & water damage insurance documentation
Organize photos, dates, scopes, and invoices for insurance conversations after mold or water damage. Coverage decisions remain with your insurer.

A clear record helps the conversation.
Start with accurate observations
Document the date you discovered the concern, the affected location, the known source, and the steps already taken. Photograph accessible conditions safely and keep earlier maintenance or repair records. If the cause is uncertain, distinguish what you observed from what is still being investigated.
Ask your insurer about the process
Coverage depends on your policy and circumstances. Contact the insurer about its documentation and inspection requirements, and discuss urgent mitigation when needed. Rapid Mold Remediation does not determine coverage, interpret your policy, or promise reimbursement.
Keep the work scope understandable
Photos, a written scope, relevant moisture or drying records, and invoices can help describe the property work. Discuss the documents you need before scheduling. Source repairs and reconstruction may involve separate contractors and records.
Track changes and completion
Keep approved scope changes with the original proposal. At the end, retain the completed-work record and information about any remaining repairs. If an independent review is required, confirm its scope and provider early rather than assuming the remediation invoice replaces it.
