RESOURCE GUIDE / PLANNING
How to prepare your home for mold remediation
Preparation is most useful when it follows the agreed scope. Ask your project contact what to move, what to leave alone, and which rooms will be affected.

Confirm access and communication
Identify entry arrangements, parking or loading restrictions, pets, and the person authorized to approve changes. For a managed property, confirm building requirements in advance.
Do not disturb suspect materials
Do not cut out drywall or carry affected belongings through the home without guidance. Ask how contents and access routes should be handled. Keep photographs and earlier reports ready to share.
Plan around the work area
Discuss occupancy, restricted rooms, equipment, and any changes to daily routines. Understand which source repairs and reconstruction tasks are separate. Keep the agreed scope and contact details available so questions can be resolved promptly.
