RESOURCE GUIDE / INSPECTION
Post-remediation verification: plan it at the start
If your project needs an independent review after remediation, define that requirement before work begins. It affects the scope, schedule, and documentation.

Agree on the evaluator and criteria
Ask who will perform the review, what areas will be assessed, and whether sampling is part of the protocol. A visual review, moisture assessment, and laboratory testing are different activities.
Make the project records available
The evaluator may need the original scope, photographs, changes during work, and documentation of moisture repairs. Keep the work area accessible as agreed. Do not assume rebuilding should begin before a required review.
Understand the conclusion
Verification applies to the defined assessment and conditions at the time. It is not a guarantee against future leaks or every future mold concern. Ask what the report concludes and what follow-up, if any, is recommended.
